Get Lit(erate) Guelph is an annual fundraiser for the Start2Finish Running & Reading Club (Guelph) that seeks to promote the value of literature in positively impacting the lives of readers. This reflects the Start2Finish Running and Reading Club’s goal of empowering kids with the tools to lift themselves out of poverty and achieve lifelong success.

The local Start2Finish steering committee is excited to organize this fundraiser in support of the clubs at Brant, Willow, Westwood, and Gateway Drive Public Schools.  This fundraiser will ensure the ongoing success of these programs and help us launch new programs within our city.

The event features local celebrities or well-known community members reading a passage from their favourite book and sharing how it has impacted and inspired them. Our hope is that their stories will in turn encourage the attending members of the community to contribute to the possibility of our local children having similar stories of their own to share in the future.
